Overview​​

For more than 30 years, Karen Flitterman has been creating custom woven goods for the high-end residential and hospitality design industry.

​

Each piece is a one of a kind, custom, hand-made or hand-loomed work of art.  Using nearly any material, Karen creates luxurious indoor and outdoor rugs, woven upholstery, wall art, macrame, pillows, accessories and more.  Her work has graced the homes of numerous designers and celebrities as well as extensive hospitality projects, both guestrooms and public spaces, around the world.

Karen's hand-made pieces are created without automation. Every part of the process is completed manually, using traditional tools and methods and drawing on centuries-old traditions of skill and master craftsmanship.  Among her multiple large-sized looms, her largest is 15-feet and is one of the largest manual looms in North America.   There is no request that is too large for her capabilities.

Karen is renown for her leather indoor rugs and vinyl outdoor rugs but whether you're looking for a statement piece rug or sumptuous woven wool upholstery or masterfully-crafted macrame, each unique piece is something special that your client will be proud of.​

In addition to Flitterman Collection's local, hand-made capabilities, Karen also maintains a decades-long partnership with her factory in India which manufactures her guestroom/large quantity orders and provides yet more offerings such as Karen's beautiful hand-knotted hand-tufted rugs. All while still providing, hand made, custom product at the highest degree of craftsmanship.
